Historical Legacy
Founded in 1937 as The Bengal Agricultural Institute, the Faculty of Agriculture is the oldest agricultural institution in the subcontinent. It has a long tradition of excellence in teaching and research, shaping the foundation of agricultural education in Bangladesh.
Academic and Research Excellence
The faculty combines traditional agricultural studies with modern fields such as food systems sciences and geodesy. Its research-led programs strengthen Bangladesh’s role in sustainable agriculture and innovation.
Research-Oriented Education
Offers B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) and various M.S. degree programs that are fully research-driven. The curriculum is designed to promote both fundamental and applied research, preparing graduates for real-world agricultural challenges.
